Things to Do in Aruba

The Caribbean Sea is Aruba's playground! Aruba's beaches are world renowned for their sugary white sand, cooling trade winds, secluded coves and all beaches are public!

But when you tire of hanging out on the beach, there's scuba diving, snorkeling, great windsurfing, parasailing, sky diving, jetskis, many different types of boat cruises including a real submarine and all the other watersports you expect from a sun-and-sea vacation.

On land you can play golf, ride a horse, hike, take a guided bus tour or drive an all-terrain vehicle over the island's wild and woolly Cunucu (countryside). Explore the natural wonders of Arikok National Park or go shopping for jewelry or Dutch cheese in Oranjestad. Tour the island from the air in a helicopter. Swim or snorkle in the calm waters of Baby Beach, visit the Donkey Sanctuary, Ostrich Farm or Butterfly Farm.

Away from the beaches Aruba is a desert island full of cacti, iguanas, goats, donkeys, strange boulder formations and even the remains of a Spanish gold mine. Contrasting sharply with the resort area's serene beaches, the north coast features craggy limestone cliffs, giant sand dunes, and crashing breakers.

Be sure to save some energy for the evening hours when the flashing lights of a Palm Beach casino or the live music of an Oranjestad nightspot beckon.
